"Hair is not just decoration, it is a kind of indicator of everything that happens in our body and soul."

Healthy and beautiful hair makes us satisfied, confident and desirable. But hair is not only our decoration. It is also a kind of indicator of everything that happens in our body and soul. By our hair, we can conclude the condition of our body and our mood. Our hair responds not only to stress, condition or improper nutrition, but also influences from the environment, the polluted air, excessive exposure to sun, wind or cold. Hair protested against inadequate shampoos, too hot fan or an aggressive color. It becomes either too oily or too dry, or hanging lifeless and it is impossible to tame. However, the most responding is the way in which we are all particularly vulnerable, hair-loss. So look at the comb full fell out hairs is a sufficient reason for questioning the way we live and treating our hair.

What Causes Hair Loss?

Although we are all very susceptible to hair loss, experts believe that our 50-80 and even up to 100 hairs fallen out per day generaly should not worry. The hair is naturally regenerated, old hairs fall out and give way to new ones, which is especially present and conspicuous in fall and spring. On the contrary, more than 100 hairs a day is a sufficient reason for concern and the search for the causes that led to excessive hair loss.

The reasons may be numerous. Among the most common reasons for hair loss disorders in hormone levels that may occur as a result of specific life stages, such as after childbirth, the menopause, in old age, after stopping birth control pills or drastic diets, but also the psychological pressure, or stress as a result of the crisis in professional or private life. Furthermore, excessive hair loss can be related to the different diseases, such as thyroid, liver, kidney, and disorders of the immune system work. Hair loss may be due to a lack of zinc and iron in the body, inflammation, and also under the influence of certain drugs such as antibiotics. Of course, drastic hair loss can be caused by improper care and treatment of hair. For example, using a shampoo that is appropriate for your hair type, often using the funds for coloring or curling hair, too high temperature during the styling, etc.

However, hair loss due to these reasons generally stops after the body, either naturally or after our own or professional intervention, re-establish natural balance. However, if drastic hair loss, 100 hairs a day, lasts longer than four weeks, you should immediately seek medical help, which will determine the causes and recommend appropriate treatment.

How to prevent hair loss?

In accordance with the saying better safe than sorry, for the health of the hair can not do much. Hair loss can be prevented by proper care, adequate nutrition, use of special therapy and masks in the period in which the hair is more outbursts, and generally by healthy lifestyle.

Here are a few important tips

* Use a comb and a brush made of organic materials * Before washing your hair , use brush to remove dirt and disentagle hair

* Use only warm running water while washing your hair. * Use a shampoo that is adjusted to your hair type (type of hair varies with age) * When determining the amount of shampoo you be more economical, "little" is more than enough * Do not apply shampoo directly to the hair, pre-dilute with water (prepare a mixture in a separate bowl) * Apply the shampoo with gently massage of your scalp with your fingertips * Leave shampoo to work for a short time and then patiently and thoroughly rinse it with water * After washing your hair, do not rub it roughly with a towel, because wet hair is particularly sensitive, but short-wipe it with a soft kneading, and then wrap it with a soft, heated towel * For the same reason, do not brush vigorously with a brush, but gently comb it * Styling products are to be applied only to the hair and not to a scalp. * Whenever possible hair dry naturally in air * Since heat damages the skin and hair, hold fan about 20 cm away from the hair and avoid too much hot air * Combs, brushes and styling must be keep clean * For dyeing, curling and styling hair, use only environmentally and dermatologically tested preparations * Never at the same time or in a short time period, dye and curl your hair * After curling, do not wash hair for at least 3 days, but every morning moisten it with plain or better mineral water at a dose that can be purchased at pharmacies * Massage your head as often as possible, becuse massage relaxes the skin and stabilizes the work of the sebaceous glands and stimulates blood supply to hair roots with nutrients and oxygen. * In the fall and spring or in the period when you notice that your hair falls out more, then afford your hair some special treatments (vials, hair masks or supplements) which you choose in consultation with a dermatologist or prepare some easily at home from the olive oil and egg yolks * Pay a great attention to protection of hair and care after effects of the sun, wind, cold and exposure in a solarium, sauna, swimming in the sea, pool, etc. *As well as as our body, hair as well depends on water. Daily, drink 2-3 liters of fluid * Since the most important for hair are vitamin C, protein, zinc, iron and biotin, provide them with food based on fruits, vegetables, fish, seafood, meat, liver, dairy products and whole grains, as well as with dietary supplements purchased in a pharmacy * Negative consequences of stress that are reflected through excessive hair loss, should be neutralize with mental relaxation, physical activity and adequate sleep.

Read more about hair care and health at Health Shelf - Be Healthy and Happy

American scientists have suggested an odd theory – they have tried to persuade the world that dirty hair is good for one’s health. In fact, it turns out that this paradoxical idea might lie at the root of creating beautiful and healthy hair.

New scientific research from Missouri University has discovered that dirty hair has a protective function: secretions produced by the head’s oil glands cover hair that incepts ozone intensively. Ozone is a toxic gas which appears as an active compound of oxygen, and in larger quantities, can seriously harm a human being’s health.

As a result of one experiment, it has emerged that dirty hair absorbs seven times more harmful ozone than clean hair does. But scientists still have not explained how it affects the state of hair. Besides that, in the scientific community there is a common perception that sebaceous matter covering unwashed hair contributes to faster hair growth. It protects hair against environmental influences. As a result, the hair experiences fewer splits and less damage and actually grows faster.

Typical mistake

At the same time, there is no denying it – unwashed hair is one of women’s biggest mistakes.“When I am walking along the street I notice often that women have unwashed hair. This is perhaps the biggest style error. – says famous American designer Isaac Mizrahi. – You know people have excuses for bad shoes – because you know some people have back problems, it is the street and they're walking and walking and walking – but I do think that people have no excuse for bad hair. Because you know what? There's a hat, if your hair is really that bad that day. But I always think that women should be encouraged to spend a lot of money on their hair” – designer says. But what about those people who worry about the possibility of ozone poisoning, but honestly believe that “clean hair – it is already a head-dress”? The results of the American study do not completely mean that the hair should now be rarely washed. There is just no point in washing it too often, so as not to destroy the work of the head’s oil glands, which are in charge of the shine of healthy hair and for protecting the hair’s owner from the surrounding concentration of harmful ozone. Besides that, several simple rules should be observed during hair treatment in order to improve its conditions.

Correct washing

For those who can’t make themselves wash their hair once per 3-5 days, specialists advise the use of special soft products, which don’t clean hair too deeply. Soft shampoo is not able to wash off week-old “dirt” from hair or wash away peeling head skin; therefore, the dirty hair and dandruff are “guaranteed” to you. Application of shampoo on the hair should occur twice. The first time, the shampoo will only wash off the fat. The second time, it must be used to enact the therapeutic additives and vitamins contained within it. During application, you should accurately, but energetically, massage the head skin to activate blood circulation.

Hair nourishment

If the shampoo “uncovers” the hair "scales" and moves mud away from the hair, then conditioner, on the contrary, closes the scales and envelops hair. Specifically, because of shampoo and conditioner act oppositely, it is not worth using two-in-one products. They do only as a fast wash-n-go option. Conditioning rinse, furthermore, neutralizes static electricity, makes hair manageable, protects it from the harmful environmental effects, facilitates combing and gives the hair shine and elasticity. Conditioning rinse must be thoroughly washed out the last time in cool water. Specialists consider that cold water also makes hair smooth and glossy. Water for hair-washing should not be hot but pleasantly warm, about 35 degrees Celsius, or even slightly cooler. It is not advisable. to wash hair in hot water, at least because this leads to additional exudation of the oil glands. Warm or slightly cool water also washes hair well if the shampoo or soap fit the type of hair. However, very cold water is also harmful for the hair. It is very healthful to “gladden” hair by using special head beauty masks 2-3 times per month. However, healthy hair not only requires washing but also external nourishment in the form of masks and balsams.

The basic substance the hair consists of is protein substance Keratin, rich in sulphur (5%) and nitrogen (20%). Hair has necessary nourishment from within, i.e. the protein food, which delivers building materials to the hair and also regular head massages, which stimulates blood circulation of the scalp and makes it possible to more rapidly and more effectively bring the necessary nourishment to the hair. For strengthening thehair and preventing hair loss, one should take phytin, vitamins A, B1, B6, B12, pantothenic acid, endocrine preparations and so on.

Also very significant in regards to the healthy look of your hair is regular combing. Ideally, you should comb your hair twice per day, since the comb teeth irritate nerve endings of the head skin, which revives blood circulation and contributes to hair growth. It is necessary to have a comb with dull teeth so that they do not scratch the skin. Constant combing massages the hair well and, to a certain extent, cleans it, moving dust away from it. However, only dry hair should be combed. Moist hairs, heavy from the water, are easily pulled out during combing.

Probably you have heard people talks about natural skin care. What is actually natural skin care? Basically, natural skin care is using natural ingredients for skin care products, including roots, essential oils, various flowers and also various herbs.
Nowadays natural skin care products have become increasingly popular, because people are constantly looking for new varieties of skin care products. Entrepreneurs see that as opportunities and many companies are starting to offer natural products to their customers.
Even the name is 'natural', but natural skin care product is not always created by 100% natural ingredients. Most of them are combination of natural substances with natural preservatives, various emulsifiers, humectants and a variety of surfactants.
The above fact makes several people who have tried a natural skin care approach have decided to make their own products in order to ensure they are applying only natural products to their skin. Chamomile is one of favorite skin care ingredients for people, because it can heal the skin as well as anti-inflammatory abilities when put on topically.
Quality natural body care products are purely from botanical based and do not have synthetic chemicals. It is also important that the manufacturing process that is utilized does not damage the natural ingredients.Skin Care Product Variations: From Honey to Shea Butter
Hone, Jojoba and Shea Butter are popular skincare ingredients. Let take a look at them...
Honey will retain moisture of your skin. It also has the ability to help your skin take in moisture. Honey is rich with antioxidants and also contains some anti-microbial. Any skin care products which contain the appropriate amount of honey are effective to prevent your skin from the sun and some experts say that it can also rejuvenate your skin.
You might want to try some Jojoba for your skin, since jojoba is considered to be a natural skin care product. The main function of Jojoba is to soften up the skin. Many popular skin care products use Jojoba as their main ingredients.
Shea butter is found in kernels from the Karite tree and is contained in numerous natural skin care products and it. Research shows that shea butter can provide significant therapeutic results. Experts also say that shea butter in an unrefined, certified organic form is useful for treating skin problems including eczema, stretch marks, dermatitis and even psoriasis. However, it is highly recommended to consult with your doctor before trying any skin care products.Overall Health Creates Healthy Skin
It is also good to remember that skin care health is strongly related with your body health. Healthy body makes healthy skin care. So, if you want to have a great skin, you need to maintain your body as well. Do regular exercise, eat vegetables and fruit, drink water, sleep well, no alcohol and no smoking.
If you can do that regularly, and you also regularly clean, moisturize and exfoliate your skin, you will get an overall health and as a bonus, you will also get great, clear, toned skin.

The condition of nails reflect the quality of tissue production in the body as nails are considered to be the waste product of bones (asthi dhatu) Healthy nails are pink, smooth and evenly shaped. Healthy nails are often a sign of good health, while bad nails are often a tip off to more serious problems. Dermatologists say healthy nails are an important part of overall health. The steps in cultivating and maintaining healthy nails are quite simple. One of the vitamins that will promote healthy nails is Vitamin A. This vitamin for nail growth can be found in vegetables that are yellow or orange in color such as carrots, pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes and the likes. Vitamin A can also be obtained from green and leafy vegetables such as broccoli and spinach. There are also sources of Vitamin A from animal products such as liver, butter, milk, and eggs. Lack of vitamin A can cause your nails to become dry and brittle that may hinder normal nail growth.Vitamin B-complex also is one of the vitamins for nail growth. This vitamin can be acquired from many plant and animal sources such as banana, potatoes, lentils, liver and tuna.Vitamin D is another vitamin that is needed to be taken in to promote healthy nails. A natural source of vitamin D is the exposure to the sun usually in the morning. Other sources of this vitamin are cheese, liver, salmon, eggs and other fortified food products.Vitamin E is also an important vitamin for healthy nails. This vitamin for nail growth can be obtained from many green and leafy vegetables, margarine and vegetable oil. There are also supplements that contain vitamin E.Nothing makes either a man or woman feel better, than good and healthy looking nails. Either for their own personal pleasure, or to finish off that professional appearance, nail care is an important part of any bodies beauty regime. Here is a guide about how best to treat your nails. To start with, you should clean your cuticles and nails. Although we think that water and soap will suitably clean our nails, this is not true. You should get a lemon, and put your nails in the juice to clean the nails and cuticles properly.Once your nails are clean you should soak your hands in warm water with a little lemon juice, and then we can give the nails a manicure. To start with, healthy nails should be translucent and pink. This is because of the blood beneath the nail bed. Always check your nails are in a good, healthy condition before painting, as if they are not, a treatment may be required. The next step is to paint your nails however you like. To start, you should always apply a base coat of a light colour. This should be a specific pink base coat polish, or a clear nail polish. By doing this, if you put a darker colour onto your nails, you will not stain them. If you do wear nail polish all of the time, you should always take it off for at least two days every two weeks, to allow your nails to breath.
