It's the lead in song to the album...it shows everything that's going to cause what's happening to the main character of the album to lead him to eventually kill himself at the end. It talks about the 3 main causes of this - a girl, religon/god, and drugs.
All of them do what he wants them to do immediatly and seem like an exit, but in the end they all use him up, and he lets them do it to him because of that quick fix he gets.
I think all of us have a voice inside our head like this at our lowest

Seems to me that Mr. Self Destruct describes a lot of the primitive stage of a person's ego which commands him/her to do evil, and ultimately fall prey to one of the 7 heads of the nafs. There are steps to conquer it, and the different stages, just find it on google or wiki.

This song would describe Islamo-Jihadism, Neo Naziism or any other type of brainwashed hateful thinking, where the individual is so drunk on insane ideology and "superiority" that he doesn't realize he has given himself (or herself) up and sacrificed his soul.
