Update: The basecoat I use now is called NailTek Foundation II, I would recommend it over the OPI Nail Envy. I know this is old so you might not get this but I would try the Seche Vite on sort of short nails. I Scuba Dive and doing so in the pool TEARS you manicure up (if you do it a lot like I do). I haven't tried it with the Seche Vite yet and am planning to do so tomorrow, I will post on that, but I think you would have good luck to.
It could be that the part of your nail that is the tip is still weak and brittle as it was growing before you started using the treatment. I would give it some time and try keeping the a little shorter until your nails get a chance to get extra strong.
I don't know if OPI has this but Sephora by OPI has a nail whitener. I haven't tried this but I have tried their version of nail envy and it's a close match. The whitener is about 9 dollars.
I got one for 8-9 dollars at Sephora, this isn't bad if you consider how much you could spend on multiple cheap ones. I have been using mine for about a month and don't feel like it's lot any 'grit' on the other hand I often use a regular emery board once and start to get irritated with the loss of grit in some spots.
I really like this brand called Sinful Colors. It is very affordable and I found it at Walgreens. They have really good colors! And they are better at not chipping than my OPI! crazy! They are only $1.99!
niice makeup
its not opi its O.P.I.
i just got Seche Vite today at Sally's its amazing
another good quick drying top coat is Kensington Caviar top coat (By Nails Inc) its dry in like a minute! it has base coat which goes with it too, also called Kensington Caviar Base Coat, obviously lol.

NAIL ENVY ROCKS!
the best thing ever that happened to my nails,
and i only bought it because of you!
my nails usually split or peel and take forever to grow, now they are really long in a week
its amazing
but what can i use for yellowing nails?
Thanks so much!
I used to usa O-P-I nail envey too!
wow my nails are way longer than yours, and i dont use anything, and their rly stong too. i hate when ppl ask if my nails are fake, i feel bad for you. tho ( not trying to tell you what to do, cuz you seem to know way moar than me) but i think that flat nail tips look a little fake, i kinda do my moar pointy than round, but they look real that way. thanks for the tips.
would you recommend Nail Tek Intensive Therapy II (is it the same as Foundation II,) Becuase my nail always peel due to the nail polish.
Thanx For The video.
Your So Lucky your Nails Are So Perfect.
nope
strong nails are also attributed to Vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid supplements*.~
Biotin helps a lot in the strength of both the fingernails and hairstrands::.
