Were you drilling your real nail or acrylic's? Because if your drilling your real nails would it not be bad for them...? I'm confused :S
They are drilling the acryrlic, not the nail. The drill never goes deep enough to get to the nailbed.
OMG I didn't know they drill it! never been at a proffesional...
isn't this bad for your nails? and doesn't it hurt?
The e file gives a very sharp smile line, it should never be needed on the natural nail
Ok, so is the effect the e drill gives any better or worse then what a file gives you?? From my understanding the reason for it on the natural nails is to give the acrylic something to adhere to correct?
missaffliction, it depends on professionalism, not price.
But chain salons are the ones to avoid, they only care about your money, not your nails
I'm guessing you are calling "cheap shops" the ones where you pay 25 bucks and get a full set right? Nonetheless, I have been to a more pricey salon, and they did NOT use the drill at all... they used a file
MIssAffliction, you have obviously never had a decent technician.
Stop going to cheap salons and pay a crafted professional that knows what they are doing.
People bitch about damage, but they go to cheap salons ...... if you pay peanuts (you often get monkies).
I HATE THAT DAMN DRILL! I don't care what anyone says, it EATS NAILS!!!!
ur great so talented
I have acrylic nails to, and I love them
Make-up looks fake as well but if done well, it's a beautiful look. Nails are no different. I agree with you. Some people like the dramatically perfected look. I do too.
i'm filing old acrylic, not natural nail.
You don't feel a thing when it's done correctly
wow that looks like it would hurt!!
I like all your videos. Im a nail tech and I dont like those exagerated smileline, they look toooo fake.
I am on Doia's side by the smilelines...
My clients loves the dramatic look, and they dont think it is fake look.
With a right technic and with right materials you can make natural looking nails with a happy smileline.
btw, what the client want, that is the first. But! I make it, so it will looks like, when I want.
doimailbox, your comments are cool, but you have to understand, some clients prefer a less fake look, the dramtic smileline you speak of, is a dead giveaway for fake nails, howmany peoples natural smile line plunges down the side like those "typical" fake nails you see. Creating a more natural look make them ........ umm, more natural looking
sorry English is my second language (nails is my 1st, lol) I don't believe that the way, but rather than a way. I'm so glad that it work for you....
Carl, much respect for you willingness to help other, I just use to see a little more curve here in the US.... Clients is always right, if that what she than that what she get..... sorry if I offended you..:)
I like this method better than the one you posted, doia. And it's BARELY not berly - and Smile, not MILE. What country are you from?
my "mile" line huh
guess when it doesn't plunge down the sides, that may make it a little more natural looking, some prefer that look, this client did
your mile line is not very happy, I can berly see a curve.
Thanks for sharing.
Very well done, i like all your videos. I'm a nail tech and would like to buy a good e file, what brand do you suggest? Are the ones from China & Hong Kong good ones? Thanks!
What is the material of the bits?
Thanks, Xuxkina
I'm a nail tech and this is neither torture nor nail art, this is just filing a nail, i use manual nail files but i'm interested in buying an electric file as it's more easy, well done for this video!!
wow you make everything look so easy! is you drill bit coarse, medium or fine?
and yea this is nowhere near the nailplate. plenty o' acrylic still left on there!
