@sodapop843
Ditto. I can't do natural because my hair snaps right off. I'd be bald before my hair got used to being natural.
i promise u i will luk like a scary simba
Well than wear it as an afro!
im a new natural and
im glad that i ran into this video
you inspire me!
i wuld love not to put a relaxer in my hair but my hair gets really nappy with out a relaxer...i dnt have that wave, curly or crimpylukin hair it nappy
You have really inspired me. I am going to start my transition from relaxed to natural. Do you have any more suggestions for protective styles? I just took out a weave. I am a little nervous about what to do next.
@phillyjemini - i completely understand. i've been transitioning for about 11 months now. no relaxer is drivin me bout damn crazy. my lil sister has like this pretty thick relaxer hair all straight. but when i want mine to look all straight and light and stuff it takes like 1 1/2 to get it to look like hers. it will be worth it in the end tho.
How long will it take to see full results. My last relax was 2 months?
@phillyjemini I know how u feel, I haven't relaxed in 3 months and my roots r soooo thick. I went to the beauty supply store the other day and I was so tempted to pick a relaxer up, but I didn't. I actually just did a co wash and it helped soften my new growth a lot.
Girl be strong. Just think of the end result and how you would feel knowing that you have srong healthy hair. Healthy hair beats long damage hair everytime.
First of all love the video, its full of great tips. I am 21 years old I cant remember how my texture of my hair felt until last week when i did the "BC". For me it was very liberating i was eliminating the hassel of badly damage relaxed hair. I love my natural hair! It feels great to represent my true texture and pride through my natural hair.
Im transitioning my hair, and it is def an emotional journey. everytime i wash my hair, i want to relax it! I havent relaxed it in almost 4 months and its def a journey
1. ok good the big chop is out of the question!
Im ready to go natural!!! I will be brave
I wear my hair natural. I haven't had a perm in over 8 years however recently bleached and dye my hair blond. I want to keep my hair blond, and keep the rest natural with no weave etc. Any tips for me?
This video is great. im 16 and i just decided to grow my hair out and its been about 4 months and it is hard already cause it soo thick. Thank you:)
I'm in the transitioning process. I am wearing half wigs that match my natural texture. Moisture, moisture, moisture is key. Deep Conditioners. Less heat. If I do use heat I will do a roller set. I use coconut oil on my scalp an ends (mostly on my ends). Big difference!!!
thanks so much for doing this! im sixteen and this is my second time going natural, the process is hard but im about five months in and a little less than half way through
AWESOME!!! You are inspiring. I'm going along my journey right now! I'll stay tuned.
i haven't permed my hair for 2 months and have so much new growth, i'm happy. but alot of strands have been coming out n breaking; im guessing i need to get braids. thank you for this video!
thank you so much for this video i know im kind of late but im 17 yrs old and i have been going through my natural transistion for mayb 2 half almost three yrs. and this video has given me some knowledge on what i have been doing wrong this was much needed
omgggg you juss helped mee sooo muchh you wouldnt belive it ....
thank you sooooo much!!!!
ok, im SSOOOO subscribing to you and saving this video as a favorite. i decided to go natural yesterday (1/14/10) so this video is definitely going to be a reference for me. P.s.: that big chop advice was a good one, cuz im really scared to do that (lol). Thankfully my hair is not damaged, so im going to take your advice and just trim it periodically. Thanks so much!
Your hair is GORGEOUS! It looks a lot like my natural curls. I would like to know how your hair is cut. Is it in layers? I love the way it falls. My hair lacks shape when I wear it curly. It is midback/brastrap length when straightened. Please share the type of cut that you have? Thanks!
