You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted, I?ve spent most of my time here just lurking and reading, but today for some reason I just felt compelled to say this.

It is good to see that a new form for hippie-movement is begin to be a reality, but the problem is that this new-hippie will get modern , and then some real hippies today, wont be hippies at that time, because the hippies is against the modern things, the capitalism, materialism , war, money and profit.

Man...this song has one of the HOTTEST Basslines in the movie...not that all of them aren't hot..but they REALLY got some musicians for this movie. and I love the unorthodox choreography. Man...this movie is truly a classic. The play rocks too.

i am almost thinking with the revival oh Hair in NY it could be done for the Iraq war, gay marriage equality ...but, then i think how times have changes, with more high power jobs, computers, technology and so many people would not be able to give it up for this...i would, but don't know how many people would give up their 500 channel tv's, internet, money, games. if it was like this,,,,they should!

Yes, Prabupa - the Khrishna founder was quite a guy! 30 years of being a printer in India - mostly commercial stuff. Then he gets religion, becomes unclean by coming to US, & founds a religious printing empire! These days the Khrisna Temples are mainly India immigrant community centers. They still dance & sing though - the young girls quite trained classically in mythic trad. dance. Very beautiful & stylized!

Hippies and emos are different (hope this is in the right place!)

Emos are all about how much their life sucks and all that crap whilst hippies believe in peace love and happiness.

My mom was a hippie. =)
