That blue looks gorgeous on you!

  • pooh2b says:

I like more bang for my buck, unless its an item that I can't find anywhere else that is unique.

I have that Dior palette and it's gorgeous...it matches my Lady Dior purse...but I still like bargains too...I have favs in high end make up and drug store...it's a matter of choice

  • hamsterzluvr1 says:

i am DEFINATELY on the right side, well my right, so the drugstore side

  • kapkone says:

I like BOTH haha. It is great to get a bargain but also nice to occasionally splurge on luxury products

You are very beautiful, but I was surprised you are only 25. It's probably the elegant clothes.
Anyway, really enjoy your videos, so I subscribed.

i think previously i would have spent the$95 on lots of make-up but now im so wanting the chanel bronzer universal which everyone raves abut or the nars laguna just for the quality and that special feel and these products tend to last longer because they r better quality , i never thought for 1 moment i'd ever think this way x

  • FASHIONISTADARLING says:

i would definitely spend that $95 on all those other products than just one teeny little palette.

  • MiiszboRedDnRaNduMmz says:

It depends, I usually go for the multiple product side, but if there is a high-priced item I REALLY want, and KINDA(:P) need, I would spend tht xtra cash

  • smileyandpeace says:

i would go to a whole bunch of drugstores and buy makeup that i have researched if they are worth while or not till i had no money left

  • coramonster says:

I would take that 95 and go to elf, honestly or drug store. And it's not always quantity vs quality there. I know there are some really really good inexpensive products out there that are just as good or better than the expensive one. A lot of times the expense in make up (fashion, accessories, whatever) is in the NAME, that's right most of the time you are paying for the name on a brand.

  • twoamgoodbyes says:

I would definitely go with multiple products. I completely agree that you can get good products for a low price. Makeup Alley and Youtube give so many reviews on products; there's no point to rely only on an expensive brand name to know the quality of a product.

THIS COMMENT, I love it. I have the exact same opinion. I'll tell you a secret, Chanel e/s SUCK. My mom bought some and they are not at all pigmented. But the MAC blushes gave me an allergic reaction. I like the Chanel foundation and blush, tho, no problem with those. and I have super sensitive skin, probably more than yours. i'm not going to waste my time trying to find a cheaper product because i already tried 2 other h/e foundations and they made me break out

  • JazminSafadi says:

I'm totally quality over quantity. Unless there's a trend of eyeshadows, like the black smokey eyes that I know I won't want to wear much after that season is over, or the one at night because I don't go out much at night, but I still want the look. it was like $6 so it doesn't really hurt. I can't afford to have both looks h/e lol.

  • JazminSafadi says:

I was always into the expensive ones, then the ppl who could only afford drugstore and were jealous that I could get the h/e products convinced me that I was dumb for spending so much when I could buy the drugstore items because "they were exactly the same"--they're not, they're comparable and there's a reason the other ones cost more, not just because of the name but because they tend to work/blend better or stay longer. Plus, I never used the drugstore items.

  • JazminSafadi says:

yeah, maybe I have a "refined palette" or something for makeup, but some things I get teh drugstore version and I just don't like it or it breaks out my ultra sensitive skin, so I MUST try it, so many things can irritate... ELF too is the only one I'm interested in, I guess because it's dirt cheap. Spending/wasting one dollar on a product that in other things might cost $6-30 isn't too bad. The only thing that doesn't hurt.

  • JazminSafadi says:

I'm with you, too. And I rather have one really nice look to use during the day and splurge on that and use it all up, than have many and keep up with the latest trends and have to buy drugstore to keep up. idk, it's more of a general guideline, I might break my own rule, but it's rare. If I buy a h/e gloss, it's usually because I fall in love with it, and it's what I ALWAYS want to use, so that equals to 3 drugstore glosses that look good in the tube, but when I try them, ehhh.

  • carazycutiekim says:

my skin breaks out too, but physician's formula products and loreal are the best...i have never broke out from them and i have super sensitive skin too :D

  • naturegrl33 says:

i would buy a moderate priced blush or what ever, and make it look better using an amazing brush that would cost more. or perhaps the other way around.

  • ilima0183 says:

i'm usually hesitant to buy drugstore brands because my skin is sensitive it breaks out...so I bought items frm MAC & Clinique because I heard good things about them (plus I didn't break out. BUT I wish I did more research like I do with other stuff like technology. SO I found out I could of gotten the same quality or even better products in drugstores rather than high end retailers. I feel like a loser now...I could of gotten more products with less amt of money :-(

  • HoTaNdSwEeT says:

totally on a lotta different things cause if u spend $95 on one specific thing its a total waste if your talkin makeup wise

  • lydg123 says:

I agree with you emily, i think it is trial and error on what kind of quality you get. So that means you have to take risk on both sides. I usually lean towards sephora which i think is sort of in the middle (on some products!!), but i also have began to try some drugstore items. But i think both sides will always have pros and cons, eventhough i tend to think that brand names will be better quality, maybe its just in my head. But i like what i have! :)

  • lydg123 says:

    Same here! :)

  • jazzy8807 says:

i def. lean more towards getting more for alot. i love drugstore products, they sometimes can be just as good as the expensive stuff!

  • livelovelaughmore says:

I'm with most people here about splurging on some items and pinching pennies on others. Foundations I will spend more on as well as cleansers and moisturizer. Eyeshadows, blush, eyeliner and lipstick I'll head straight to ELF for. In this economy I lean toward the DS brands for most of my hair care and makeup products. In the case of People mag I would definitely be on the "get more for your money" side.
