no, but heating plastic is dangerous. a better way to do this is to heat the lipstick with blowdryer, microwave, flatiron, in a microwave safe container like a metal spoon or bowl. then when that is completely melted you can pour it into any container.
You don't need to use a blow dryer. You can just use a micro spatula or toothpick.
I have been using a spatula to do this for 20 years and it's clean and easy.

I did the same thing I bought my pill containers from Walgreen's the clear ones for .99 I think yours is smaller, good for a makeup bag or purse and it looks more appealing.
